 Assisted Play Starts Again
Assisted play will be offered on Mondays from 2 - 4 PM for beginners who are Club Members and who have taken a beginning lesson. This isn't a lesson, but more experienced players will help beginners with various aspects of the game and give them pointers for more successful play.  The first hour will be assisted and the second hour will allow beginners to play pickleball.  The first session will be on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2 PM.  There is no need to sign up for that session.  Just show up on Courts 1-4 for Assisted Play.  After that, however, please sign up for the January 23 and 30 sessions, so we know how many to expect and how many experienced players will be needed.

Click here to sign up for Assisted Play on January 23 or 30.

Now:  Wednesday and Friday Round Robins

Round Robins will continue to be held on Wednesday and are also now offered on Friday, both with a 10 AM start time.  The January dates are:  January 18, 20, 25 and 27.

We hope to have Fridays be a somewhat different format from Wednesdays; offering members a different playing experience.  The club is working out some of the logistical issues on this.  More info soon!!!!!.

Both Wednesdays and Fridays are open only to Quail Creek Pickleball Club members.  Separate Men's and Women's doubles play will be offered.  You do not need a partner.  You will be assigned a different partner each game.  Plan on playing six games in a 2 hour period. Normal doubles play and scoring except first team to reach 11 wins the game.  You do not play “win by two”.

Sign in is available from 9:30 to 9:50 at the Pickleball Courts ramada. No pre-sign-up is required.

We will start to play games as close to 10:00 as possible.  Your captains need the 10 minutes from 9:50 to 10:00 to allocate courts and prepare the charts, make brief announcements and get players pointed toward their assigned courts. Once this process starts, late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Please be at the courts and signed in with the round robin captain, warmed up and ready to go by 9:50.

NOTES ON PARKING:  The round robins are becoming quite popular.  We are in the busy time of year for our community and the club anticipates these events to fill to capacity (14 courts).  Last week, parking became an issue.  If at all possible, consider bikes, golf carts and perhaps car pooling with someone to help relieve congestion.  If you get to the parking lot and are unable to find a spot call the QC Community Services Patrol office at 520-393-2941.  They have been apprised of the possibility of overflow during the RR times and should direct you to a spot by the main gate or along the road.

Comments, suggestions, and volunteering to help run a round robin are all welcome at qcplayspb@gmail.com.

George Mynatt, QCPC RR coordinator
