Courts 3 and 4 Designated as Beginner Courts

Beginning this week, Courts 3 and 4 will be designated as Beginner's Courts on Tuesday mornings from 8 AM to 11 AM until April 30. Beginners are encouraged to meet at these courts for Club Open Play.  If the courts are not being used by beginners, then other players may use the courts, but beginners have priority on Courts 3 and 4 on Tuesday mornings.

Drills Now Offered on Tuesday and Thursday Mornings

On Tuesdays and now also on Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:00 AM, a one-hour drill clinic will be offered for all men and women, any skill level.  We spend the hour working on footwork skills, specific paddle skills (dinking, lobing, 3rd shot drop, overhead shots, etc.) and stretching for pickleball players.  The Clinic will be on Courts 1 and 2 until April 15, and then it will move to Courts 11 and 12.  There is no need to sign-up; just show up at 8:00 AM.

Reservable Courts Change Until April 15th

Effective immediately, Courts 13 and 14 will be reservable from 8-10 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays because Courts 1 and 2 will be used from drills.  This will continue until April 15th.  After April 15th, Courts 1 and 2 will be reservable and Courts 13 and 14 will again be for drop-in play.

Some Courts Closed on April 27th

QCPC's new shed will be installed on Thursday, April 27th.  The workers will need adequate access to the area and to electricity during the installation.  Therefore, Courts 1-4 will be closed from 7 AM to 4 PM on April 27.

Court 1 Closed on April 11th

The POA is planning to fix our dented fence on Court 1 on April 11, from 7 AM to 11 AM. Court 1 will be closed during that time period.

Help Needed for May Social

Sandy Veydt, our Social Chairperson, need volunteers to help with the May social on May 17.  Contact Sandy at 520-300-6525, or sandysway88@gmail.com.

Be Sure Storage Bin is Securely Locked

When you remove something from our storage bin, be sure to lock it up again, even though you will be returning the items soon.  The bin was left unlocked during the storm that we had last week.  The contents of the bin became wet and the hinges were bent by the wind.  The combination for the bin is the address of the ramada, 1461.  You have to push down on the lock in order to both open and close it.  Make sure that the lock goes through the loop for the cover and not just the bottom loop.

Rattle Snakes Are Out

PB Players on Friday had a visit from a diamondback rattler.  The snake was first spotted on the rocks near the door to Court 12.  These snakes are hard to see on the rocks, so please look before you step on the rocks.  The snake proceeded up the sidewalk and then went across the side of Court 6, ending up in the desert behind Court 6.  He and his friends are out there, so please no retrieving balls that go outside the courts.
