Player Development Program

We are in the process of organizing the Player Development Program for the upcoming season (October 2018 - March 2019).  Our goal is to have about 24 people identified who are willing to help; this will spread out the work load and provide flexibility to individual schedules and availability.

If you would like to help others with the game of pickleball, please contact Jean Bustard @ jeanb@dcmesa.com.

Tip of the Week

Doubles Strategy by Helle Sparre.  Helle argues that "forehand takes the middle" isn't always the best strategy.  Click here to see how she recommends playing doubles.

 Rule of the Week

If you are on the receiving team and the ball hits you before it bounces, in or out of bounds, it is a point for the other team.

For a complete list of rules, see USAPA Rule Book.

4.N Receiver Faults - It is a fault against the receiving team resulting in a point for the server if:

4.N.2 The receiver or the receiver’s partner is touched or interferes with the flight of the ball before it bounces.
