TOURNAMENT
OH NO, NOT ME!
Have you ever thought about playing in a tournament,
but were a little apprehensive?
Well your QCPC Board of Directors
has found a way to get rid of that apprehension.
Now you can play in a tournament
with your fellow Quail Creek Members
 at our own home courts.
The QCPC Board has decided to create
our own fun "Members Only" Tournament.
No ratings necessary,
 no USAPA registration,
 no travel,
and we will register through a Sign Up Genius link.

We are finalizing all the details, but this will be on Saturday/Sunday either March 28th/29th or April 4th/5th.
There will be Men's Doubles/Women's Doubles/Mixed Doubles for all levels (2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0+).

A small entry fee will be waived
 for anyone volunteering
 (check-in/refs/runners/photograph/snacks)

Be sure to watch the newsletter for more details in the coming weeks!

The results from the recent QCPC Board survey concerning music are in. We had 218 responses and the results are listed below:

Question 1:  Music will be allowed if players on adjacent courts are asked for and give consent...   50% yes  50% no
Question 2:  No music will be allowed on courts 1-14.  Music will be allowed to be played on courts 15-16...  66% no 34% yes
Question 3:   I don't  have an issue with this, so no changes need to be made...55% yes  45 % No

We appreciated everyones input to our survey, and after reviewing the survey results the QCPC Board has made the decision to not change any of our rules and regulations.

We would suggest that all members
 continue be courteous
and consider your fellow members
when making your choice to play music.

Board Positions
Nomination Period Open
Vice President and Secretary

It is time again for the QCPC Board of Directors nominations for Vice President and Secretary.   At this time we do not have any names for the Secretary nominees.  For Vice President we have one nominee so far which is our current V.P. Dave Mungo.   Our next election will be in March 12th at our Annual Meeting.  Kathleen Baker had graciously accepted the position as Secretary and her term has been completed. We appreciate everyone who is currently volunteering in these positions as they are the cornerstone for moving our Club forward.  Please consider adding your name to be nominated.

The term is a two year commitment meeting once a month for 2 hours (not during the summer months).  The election is in March, but the actual term begins in September

Vice-President The Vice-President shall assist the President and shall, in his/her absence, perform the duties of that office.  The Vice-President will also assume responsibilities as assigned by the Board.

Secretary:  The Secretary shall record the minutes of general and special meetings of the membership and Board, shall post the minutes in a timely manner, shall be in charge of all records of the QCPC, other than the Treasurer’s, shall maintain an archive of documents involved in the governance of the QCPC, shall be responsible for correspondence as requested by the members of the Board, shall make available any reports required by the Board, shall give notice of all Board and membership meetings at least 96 hours in advance, and shall include the meeting’s agenda with the notice.
