LAST CALL FOR QCPC

SUMMER ROUND ROBINS!

Now that June is here,

there aren’t very many players signing up to play

in weekly Organized Play and Skill-Level Round Robins.

  Several sessions (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0)

have not had enough players to fill

even one court and have been cancelled.

We understand that many members are away,

and it’s pretty hot for the members still in QC this summer.

Perhaps we should put these round robins on hold for the summer.

But before the Club does so, let’s give this another week to see what happens.  Please sign-up to play if you are interested.

The round robins start at 7 AM and are played on courts 5 & 6.

The New Member Meetups (Novice)

on Saturdays

will continue indefinitely as they are still very well attended.

If you have suggestions for how best to hold summer

Organized Play and Skill-Level Round Robins,

please contact Dave Mungo at djmungo@hotmail.com.

Pickle 2 Training Continues

Are you interested in being trained
on the Pickle 2 pickleball
training machine?

If so, gather 2 to 4 QCPC members and
contact Bill Foraker at flyinsob@gmail.com to set up a session.
During the session you will go through the safety protocols,
how to reserve the machine
in addition to the use and care of
the machine.

The training session will last approximately 1
hour.

Remember, in order to participate
on court with the machine
you must have successfully completed
 the training offered by
the QCPC.

Did You Know...

Did you know that the POA does allow
 well-mannered dogs
to be at the Quail Creek Pickleball Courts
 on a leash

But remember, Article 10.3 of the POA rules state

"It is the pet owner’s responsibility to remove and dispose of any solid waste deposited by such animals on private or public property, including common property."

Enjoy your pickleball and your dog responsibly.😀

Inter-Community Pickleball

Inter-Community Pickleball
with GVR Pickleball Club started this week here at Quail Creek.

This is just a reminder about what the Inter-Community Pickleball is about:

Inter-community Evenings

The 2021 Inter-community Pickleball season will start on June 7th at Quail Creek.  All matches, whether at QCPC or GVR East complex (7 S Abrego Drive) will begin at 6:30 pm.  The first round will be held at the Quail Creek Pickleball Courts.  The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday at 6:30 is 4.0+

Wednesday at 6:30 is 2.0/2.5

Thursday at 6:30 is 3.0

  • You don't need an official IPTPA/USAP skill level, but do play at the proper level.
  • The format is a 6 game round-robin with all games played to 11 (win by 1).
  • The SignUp Genius for each level will be available 7 days in advance at 9pm in the evening.  This is not a weekly commitment, so you will need to sign up for the weeks you want to play.
  • The IC Evening will be limited to 16 players with 4 alternates.  On the signup for each week, please limit each club to 8 slots. Four days after the Signup is released, all slots are available to be signed up.  If you listed yourself as an alternate you will need to view the SUG to move yourself up to a slot if someone drops out.
  • All players will sign a one-time waiver form at each location if you are not part of that Club.
  • All players will pay a one-time $5 pickleball fee at each location.
  • The SUG link is here, but in the future it will be located on the side-bar of the QCPC website under the "Inter-community" heading.
  • Please remember to put your phone number in the comments field so that we can get in touch with you due to weather related issues.

Intercommunity Mornings

The morning Inter-community will be played at the GVR Pickleball complex located at 2612 S Camino De La Canoa, Green Valley, AZ 85614.  All games for all weeks will be played at this complex, no games will be played in Quail Creek.

  • All players from outside GVR will have to sign a waiver.
  • All players will pay a one time $5 fee for pickleballs.
  • The format is a 6 game round-robin with all games played to 11 (win by 1).
  • The SignUp Genius for each level will be available 7 days in advance at 9pm in the evening.  This is not a weekly commitment, so you will need to sign up for the weeks you want to play.
  • The IC morning will be limited by the number of courts allowed, with 4 alternates.  On the signup for that week please limit each club to 1/2 the total slots. Four days after the Signup is released, all slots are available to be signed up.  If you listed yourself as an alternate you will need to view the SUG to move yourself up to a slot if someone drops out.
  • The SUG link is here, but in the future it will be located on the side-bar of the QCPC website under the "Inter-community" heading.
  • Please remember to put your phone number in the comments field so that we can get in touch with you due to weather related issues.
