TIME FOR PLAY
FOR EVERYONE
Those that have been away for the summer are returning,
We have new members joining the club.
Courts are getting busier all the time.
Open Play allows you to drop in and play without signing up.
This is a mixed skill recreational play.
No skill level court designation.
When the courts are full of players,
Waiting players need to place their paddle
in the "Paddle Saddle"
to be able to rotate into the court
after each completed game.
If four or more are waiting, the first four
will replace the players
on the next Open Play
court to complete a game.
Move the "next sign" to the next four color slots.
If there are less than four waiting players,
one or more of the previous players may remain
on the court to make a foursome,
allowing the waiting players to enter.
Players new to open play may need help
knowing how it works.
Candace Plumlee, Communications Chair,
who can't play because of a surgery,
has volunteered to be a facilitator
for folks needing help with the system.
She will have her name tag on
and at the courts most mornings during open play time.

The Arizona Pickleball Players League Teams
Forming in Quail Creek
A competitive fun league
There will be Men's/Women's & Mixed Doubles in the 2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5+ levels this year. Home games will be played at Quail Creek. The season goes from January through the last week of March, playing once a week (alternating home/away). This is a Tucson league, so the away games are as far north as Oro Valley. You do not need to be part of the USA Pickleball. It iss open to all ages 18+.
For more information about the league...click here.
If you are interested in forming a team or joining one, please contact Steve Shapiro @ sshapiro57@gmail.com. Please let me know if you are forming a team, or would like to participate as a player. I will also need to know your skill level (this does not require an official skill level from USA Pickleball/IPTPA, but you need to have the skill of that level to play in the league).
