Two Sectionsof QCPC Open Play
Starting January 17th
Open Play is “drop-in” play for QCPC members (M, T, Th, Fr, Sat from 9-11 AM).
Beginning on January 17th
we’ll start using both paddle saddles
(located in the alley between the upper courts).
Novice through intermediate players
should stack paddles on the south side
for play on courts 8-12.
Advanced intermediates (approximately 3.5)
and up should stack paddles
on the north side for play on courts 6-7.
The allocation of courts will be adjusted according to player demand. For example, if there are fewer than eight total players for courts 6-7, then four players with paddles stacked for courts 8-12 can play on the open court (court 6 or 7). Those players leave at the end of their game and again stack their paddles on the south side. Players waiting for courts 6-7 are next on the court (unless there are still less than four). This kind of court adjustment would also apply if there are empty courts on courts 8-12 and there are four or more players with paddles stacked for courts 6-7.
What About Thursday Open Play Challenge Courts?
On Thursdays, the north paddle saddle will be used for the “challenge courts” (courts 6-7). The only difference between Thursday challenge courts and other Open Play days is that the winners stay on the court for a second game against the next two challengers. All players must rotate off the court after two games (win or lose), and challengers with the next four stacked paddles enter.

YOUR CHOICE OF COUR TO RESERVE
Just a reminder, Court #4 is the only court available to be used by the pickleball machine.
So if you are reserving courts for game play, please consider all the other courts first. This will allow members to reserve the pickleball machine.
