Have You Lost Personal Items at Courts?

If so, you are not alone.  More than a few members have reported missing paddles, water bottles and clothing while at the courts in the morning.

Please help by being on the lookout for anyone picking up items not near their bag.  It may be intentional or an honest mistake, we asking that you help your friends and other members by being observant.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAMS NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

The QCPC Ambassador Program introduces new members
to the club by showing them how to use
SUG, reserve a court, and explains
all the playing opportunities the Club has to offer.

We are in need of new Ambassadors.
This does not involve a lot of time,
and is a great way to meet new members.

If you are outgoing and love pickleball,
please contact Steve Shapiro @ sshapiro57@gmail.com

TIME TO UPDATE MEMBER INFORMATION

Now that the membership renewal season is behind us,
it is time to update your profile in https://qc.pickleball.plus.

 The simple 6 steps follow.

Step 1: log into https://qc.pickleball.plus

Step 2: Click on the ‘Log in’ icon in the top right corner.

Step 3: Type in your user name (normally your email address) and password (you likely changed this from the original we sent you). If you forgot your password, email me and I’ll send you a temporary.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Update’ tab on the top of the landing page.

Step 5: Update any information other than your rating (I do that when I get verification from USAPA or IPTPA). Common info that needs updating is your birthdate, phone number and emergency contact.

Step 6: When all information is updated, click on the UPDATE button at the bottom.

We currently have about 560 active members and should be well over 600 as the year progresses. Any questions or need help updating your profile, feel free to contact me at any time.

MACCABI GAMES EXHIBITION SPORT

Seymour Rifkin, founder of International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA), posted the following article on Facebook. Rif has done a great deal in standardizing pickleball performance ratings and teaching techniques as well as increasing awareness of pickleball Nationally and Internationally.

"I'm extremely proud to announce, WPF received written confirmation from the 3rd largest International Sporting Event in the world that pickleball has been accepted as an exhibition sport in this year's competition. The Maccabi Games, will have 10,000 athletes from 80 countries representing 47 sports competing in Israel July 12-26, 2022. Pickleball will be performing exhibition matches at 3 different locations in conjunction with the Maccabi Games tennis competition.

The Maccabi Games are recognized as a Regional Sport Event under the auspices and supervision of the International Olympic Committee and International Sports Federations. Pickleball being accepted as an exhibition sport into this years Maccabi Games along with a commitment to help Pickleball meet the requirements to be accepted as a full competitive sport in the next World Maccabi Games is a major step towards Pickleball being accepted as an Olympic Sport. This is exciting news for pickleball and demonstrates that the World Pickleball Federation is moving the game forward in the right direction.

For the love of the game!"
