Afternoon Open Play
Starting January 13th, Open Play will be available daily from 1:00-3:00pm. Afternoons are so beautiful here in Quail Creek and it affords another opportunity for pickleball play. Open Play will be in the same format as morning, on a smaller scale. If participation dictates, we can always add courts.
Open Play – Novice (2.5): court 5
Open Play – Intermediate (3.0 - 3.5): courts 11 & 12
Open Play – Advanced (3.5+ - 4.0+): court 8
Due to court cleaning, court assignments will change. Please consult the CourtReserve calendar for accurate information.
Today is the last day to sign up for Winter Leagues.
Sign up on CourtReserve under Events/List/Categories/League.
Questions can be directed to Dave Mungo (djmungo@hotmail.com) or Madelyn Witt (scheduledplayqcpc@gmail.com).

All You Need Is Love And A Pickleball Social
Coming to QCPC February 8, 2024 from 10 AM – 12 PM
Sign up on CourtReserve starting Feb 1st at 9 PM
Check in at the courts on Feb 8th from 9:15 – 9:45. Be on time or risk losing your spot.
QCPC’s Valentine’s Mixed Round Robin Social is open to all members with or without a Cupid.
Subway sandwiches, chips and cookies will be served following play. If you would like to stay for lunch, there is a separate sign up on CourtReserve. You will pay $10 (non-refundable). You can add a guest and pay for the guest in CR without a separate sign up. Non-players may join us for lunch but will need to sign up and also pay $10. We will not be accepting any form of payment on February 8; please reserve lunch and make payment by February 6.
If you sign up to play, you must be available to play all 6 games of the round robin. If you find you can’t play, please remove your name from CourtReserve so someone on the waitlist can move up. Do not find your own substitute as that is not fair to those on the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, please check Court Reserve daily (even on the morning of the Social) to see if you’ve been moved to player status.
The QCPC Social is open for all QCPC members to participate in at all skill levels. The goal of the Social and all QCPC events is to have a fun, safe event, so please be aware of who you are playing with and their level of experience.
In the event of inclement weather, February 15 is our back up date. You will be notified two days prior if there is a cancellation.
APPL games are underway. See home match schedules for all the teams
on the CourtReserve home page under Current Events and Reminders.

11-Court Pickleball Venue to
Open in Oro Valley
The Picklr
Gabriela Rico
It’s been a year of good news for pickleball enthusiasts. Utah-based The Picklr has announced it will open a 30,000-square-foot location with 11 courts in the spring at Oro Valley Marketplace, 11855 N. Oracle Road.
The facility will also have one championship-sized court, a pro shop and private event space.
“Bringing The Picklr to Tucson means the pickleball community here will now have the best-in-class indoor pickleball experience offered anywhere,” said Greg Larsen, co-owner and general manager of The Picklr Tucson. “A core value of The Picklr is to connect members of the community through pickleball and we are excited to be an integral part of this community for many years to come.”
Visit thepicklr.com/location/tucson for more information.
This is the third pickleball facility to announce a Tucson presence.
Ace Pickleball Club is opening 11 courts in the former Stein Mart department store at 4881 N. River Road. And Padel Alley is building a padel and pickleball court facility at the site of a former veterinary clinic at 5943 E. Speedway.
To support all this pickleball activity, Pickleball RX has leased 1,230 square feet at the southeast corner of Country Club and Fort Lowell roads, in Winterhaven Square, from Glover Associates LP, offering pickleball equipment and accessories. Natalie Furrier, Greg Furrier and Rob Tomlinson, with Picor, represented the landlord. Lily Sanchez. with Omni Homes International LLC, represented the tenant.
