Sign up on CourtReserve starting
October 18th at 9 PM
Check in at the Upper Courts on
October 25 from 3:15 PM - 3:45 PM
Be on time or risk losing your spot.
QCPC's Early Halloween Mixed Round Robin Social is open to all members with or without a costume.
Subway sandwiches, chips and pumpkin cookies will be served following play. If you would like to stay for dinner, there is a separate sign up on CourtReserve. You will pay $10 (non-refundable). You can add a guest and pay for the guest in CR without a separate sign up.
Non-players may join us for dinner, but need to sign up and also pay $10. We will not be accepting any form of payment on October 25; please reserve dinner and make payment by October 23.
If you sign up to play, you must be available to play all 6 games of the round robin. If you find you can't play, please remove your name from CourtReserve so someone on the waitlist can move up. Do not find your own substitute as that is not fair to those on the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, please check CourtReserve daily (even on the morning of the Social) to see if you've been moved to player status.
The QCPC Social is open for all QCPC members to participate in at all skill levels. The goal of the Social and QCPC events is to have a fun, safe event, so please be aware of who you are playing with and their level of experience.
In the event of inclement weather, November 1 is our back up date. You will be notified two days prior if there is a postponement.

QCPC Guest Policy Update
Effective October 1, 2025
Greetings pickleballers near and far! I hope you had a good summer and are looking forward to cooler days.
As you may have seen, we’ve had a busier than usual summer as we have been navigating changes to our pickleball guest policy at the direction of the QCPOA. We hosted a well-attended meeting of our members on July 29th, 2025.
At the time of that meeting it was our understanding that the QCPOA would not allow local guests that are not staying at the home of a QC resident. There was significant feedback from our members and we started a process of looking at exceptions to this rule for activities like APPL play, inter-community play and high-level play where there aren’t enough players in QC to fill a round robin.
Since that meeting, we’ve worked with the POA to develop a process for managing frequent local guests within the POA guest policy, instead of as exceptions. The QC Member Services team has been very helpful in detailing that process for our members.
For most members that have guests, whether in-house or not, the process is consistent with any other POA facility. You will need to register the guest with Member Services and obtain a guest card. If that guest visits again, you will need to inform Member Services. Your guest will complete the POA waiver form at registration and you will no longer be required to complete a QCPC waiver for that guest.
For members that have local guest(s) playing more frequently, you will need to register your guests at Member Services and your guest will need to sign the POA waiver before this change goes into effect on October 1st or the first time they play after October 1st. You will then need to email or call Member Services before each time your guest plays. Your guest will be allowed to play for free 30 times in a calendar year. Once your guest reaches 30 days, you will need to pay $150 for the next 30 days. Once your guest reaches 60 days, you will need to pay $250 for the next 30 days. The member will pay the guest fee via their member account and be responsible for collecting that money from their guest(s) if they wish. Detailed instructions for managing frequent guests are available in the board documents on CourtReserve.
There is still a Prime Time restriction that allows only one guest per playing group during Prime Time hours. Please read the updated Guest section of the QCPC Policy and Procedures on CourtReserve (found on the Board Info page link under the About QCPC tab)
We presented this proposed change at the well-attended September 5th board meeting. There was general agreement from the members who attended that this was a good solution. Members are allowed to bring guests to play on our courts, but frequent guests will be required to contribute financially to the maintenance of our facilities. This guest policy and fee structure applies to our other QCPOA amenities, like the gym and pools.
There are two exceptions to this guest policy that the QCPOA board is currently reviewing and we hope to have approved later in October.
Visiting Arizona Pickleball Players League (APPL) teams will not have to register as guests. The Quail Creek APPL team captain will schedule these events and collect waiver signatures before home matches.
Visiting Inter-community Play teams (like Saddlebrook Ranch in 2024) will not have to register as guests. The Quail Creek organizer will schedule these events and collect waiver signatures before play begins.
Lenny’s Pickleball for Parkinson’s group will continue as a QCPOA-led initiative and not fall under QCPC management.
We heard your voices at the July 29th meeting and worked to find a solution that met as many of your suggestions as possible.
Michael Myers, QCPC Vice-President

o If you are on the waitlist, double check the day of the event, you may have moved up to play.
o Events will be cancelled or modified due to low participation. This will occur 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

Q-TIPS / October 2025
With my fifth teaching season now underway, I want to not only reach out to our current members but to also give a shoutout to those that are brand new to our Club and/or the game itself.
For those who have recently picked up a paddle and joined our Club, you are in for a treat! Our Quail Creek Pickleball Club is dedicated to all forms of play, social activities, and player development. We want you to enjoy your experience on our courts regardless of playing ability and level.
We offer almost weekly, several varieties of play besides individual court reservations. There’s Intro to Pickleball, Open Play, Pickleball for Parkinson’s, Round Robins, Self-Lead Play, along with Lessons/Drills taught by both volunteers and/or a paid, certified instructor. As the season progresses and more residents return, there will be even more offerings. I strongly urge you to get familiar with our QCPC Court Reserve and Club website page to see all that is offered to help you enjoy your pickleball experience.
For ALL members, if you want to go beyond playing at your current level and looking for more than just social play with friends, YOUR IN LUCK! Lessons and drills led by volunteers and the club’s certified instructor are now in session (or soon to be organized) and will be available throughout the season (October through May).
