Lost and Found Unfortunately, several QCPC Members have reported items missing (bags/paddles/etc) at the Pickleball Courts. In an effort to prevent this from happening, please secure and keep track of your personal belongings. For safety concerns do not bring any pickleball equipment/bag onto the courts except for your paddle and water container. To get a better idea of what goes missing we have put the following in place: To report lost or found item, please email Steve Shapiro at sshapiro57@gmail.com If you lost an item: Please report the date and the location at the court (court number or area) the item was lost If you find an item at the courts of any value (paddle, eyeglasses, etc.) please hold onto the item, and report the item via email. A QCPC member will contact you to give further instructions. If the item is under $25, please still report the time but put the item in the Lost/Found bin at the Ramada. Guest Instructors on QC Courts We’ve had questions about guests from outside Quail Creek being invited to teach or help members with pickleball on our courts. Please remember that QCPC strictly enforces Qual Creek POA requirement that any instructor receiving payment for a lesson must be under contract with the POA. The contract requires a qualified teaching certification and proof of liability insurance. If you are aware of someone being paid for a lesson, please let Jean Bustard or Steve Shapiro know and we’ll check on status of POA contract. Use of Quail Creek Pickleball Equipment Please remember that all QCPC equipment stored in the shed is for QCPC- sanctioned events. This includes all training aids as well as tables and other equipment. QCPC purchases items for the many different offerings available through the club. Purchases are the property of QCPC. Many of these items are bought for use over many years by the committee. For example, player development teaching tools are bought by and for player development activities and tables are bought by and for use by social committee. We are often asked if members may use or borrow QCPC property. Our policy is that QCPC property is used only for QCPC activities. This equipment is not for personal use. The occasion when a group wants to use QCPC property for a pickleball event requires a request brought to and approved by the board. If you are in the shed to use the ball machine, please do not use or remove any other item from the shed. Thank you for respecting club property. Also, any QCPC Member may use the pickleball machine upon completion of the training class and signing the waiver. If you are interested in the free training class on the Pickle2 Machine, please contact Jim Malone at jladmalone@gmail.com to set up a session. During the session you will go through safety protocols, how to reserve the machine, and use and care for the machine.
